How To Use The Joy Quick Add Button

How to install and use the Joy Quick Add Button to add items from any online store to your Joy registry.

Building a registry means tracking down the things you actually love, and those don't always come from one catalog. The Quick Add Button lets you add items from any online store directly to your Joy registry, so your list can reflect your real taste. It installs in about thirty seconds, lives in your browser's bookmark bar, and works any time you find something online that belongs on your list.

Note: The Quick Add Button works on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge on laptop and desktop computers. Safari is not supported. To add items on mobile, open the Joy app and use the Add Gifts tab. Learn more about adding gifts on mobile.

Troubleshooting

You are no longer signed in to Joy

If you see a sign-in prompt when you click the button, your session has expired. Click Sign In and log back in to your account to continue.

The button pulled the wrong title, price, or image

The Quick Add Button automatically pulls item details from the page you are on. It works accurately across most major US retailers, but some stores update their page structure in ways that affect how the button reads the page. If the information is not right, you can correct the title, price, and image before clicking Add Gift. You can also edit those details at any time from the Manage Registry tab on your registry dashboard.

The button is not responding on a specific site

Some websites block JavaScript from external sources, which prevents the Quick Add Button from running. If this happens, your browser will display an error message. As a workaround, copy the item's URL and open the Manage Registry tab in your registry dashboard. Click Add Gift and fill in the item details manually. For more on manually adding items, see Adding and Managing Individual Items on Your Joy Registry.

Known stores that do not work with the Quick Add Button

  • Anthropologie

If you find a store where the button does not work, let us know so we can update this list.

The button is blocked by an ad blocker

The Quick Add Button is not an ad and does not share data with any outside parties. However, some ad blockers flag it because it appears as an overlay on the current page. If the button freezes or does not open, try enabling "Always Trust withjoy.com" in your ad blocker settings, or temporarily disable the ad blocker while you add items.
