How to Add QR Codes and Links to Cards

The front of your card makes the announcement. The back can do the heavy lifting. A QR code or link on your card back gives guests a direct path to your RSVP page, your registry, or your travel details. No typing required, no digging through old emails. Here's how to set it up.

Adding a QR Code

Select a back-of-card design that includes a built-in QR code.

  • Click the QR Code element in your card preview.

  • Click the QR Code editor button in the toolbar.

Linking to a Specific Website Page

  • In the QR Code editor, select the page you'd like guests to land on. Any page on your event website is available, including RSVP, travel details, and gift registry.

Tip: Your QR code links to your current Joy URL. If you need to update that URL first, see Changing Your URL.

Linking to a Custom or External URL

  • In the QR Code editor, select Your Custom Link.

  • Enter the URL you'd like guests to land on: your custom domain, a photo album, or any external page.

Linking to Contact Collector

If you're sending a digital Save the Date and want to collect guest mailing addresses for paper invitations or thank-you cards, you can link your QR code directly to your Contact Collector page.

Adding a Link

Some back-of-card designs include a text link instead of a QR code. On digital cards, Joy makes the link clickable automatically. On paper cards, it prints as a URL for guests to type in.

  • Select a back-of-card design that includes a link.

  • Click the link field and enter your URL.
