Which Streaming Method Is Right For Me?

Now, let's talk streaming! Joy's got your back with support for a variety of streaming platforms, including Zoom, YouTube, Google Meet, Facebook Live, EventLive, and even your favorite custom streaming platform.

But with all these options, how do you choose the one that's your streaming soulmate?

Here are some nifty questions to ponder to help you pick your perfect streaming partner:

  • Are you all about simplicity or are you craving those heartwarming guest interactions?

    • If mingling with guests is your jam, Zoom and Google Meet are your dynamic duo. Not only can you mute or unmute guests at will, but Zoom also lets you spotlight special guests during speeches and even throw your guests into "breakout rooms" for more intimate chats.

  • Do you want a one-way livestream or do you want everyone to join the party?

    • For one-way streaming fun, consider EventLive, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, or Instagram Live. They make it a breeze for guests to tune in live or catch up later. EventLive, tailor-made for streaming weddings, offers additional perks like a guestbook and customizations. YouTube Live is free, but here's the catch: if you've got less than 1,000 subscribers, you can only go live from a desktop.

  • How big is your virtual guest list?

    • EventLive and YouTube have your back with unlimited guest spots.

    • Zoom and Google Meet's free plans have a guest cap of 100.

  • How long do you plan to keep the livestream rolling?

    • YouTube Live gives you all the time in the world; there's no time limit!

    • EventLive allows a generous 24 hours of live streaming from the event start time. You can start and stop it as you please, and your guests will get a heads-up each time you're live.

    • Zoom's free plan grants you 40 minutes.

    • Google Meet's free plan gives you an hour. If you're craving more screen time, both offer paid options for 30 or 300 hours, respectively.

  • Want a recording of your live stream or a virtual guestbook?

    • With YouTube Live, your live stream becomes a video in your collection after you're done streaming.

    • EventLive auto-records your live stream, and you can snag the full recording afterward.

    • Zoom and Google Meet let the host record on a desktop but note that Google Meet's recording feature is for paid users only.

  • What device is your stream buddy?

    • If it's a laptop, rejoice! All four platforms have got you covered.

    • For those rocking Android or Apple smartphones or tablets, EventLive, Zoom, or Google Meet are your go-tos.

    • YouTube Live on mobile requires at least 1,000 subscribers.

    • If you're all about DSLRs or GoPros, EventLive's Broadcaster tool is your streaming sidekick.

Remember, it's not one-size-fits-all, but with these streaming options, there's a match for everyone's virtual celebration! ๐ŸŽ‰
