You've found the design. You know the vibe. Now you just need to get it into people's hands. Premium Digital Cards let you customize every detail: front, back, and envelope. Send directly to your guest list by email, text, or a shareable link. This article walks you through the whole process, from choosing your design to tracking who's opened it.

Premium vs Basic Digital Cards
Premium Digital Cards give you full creative control: hundreds of font, photo, and layout options to make your card uniquely yours. Basic Digital Cards are free but come with limited editing options and fewer design choices.

Editing Digital Cards
Editing your cards is as easy as designing our paper cards. It's intuitive and gives you creative control.
How to Edit
From your Event Dashboard, select Invitations, then choose Save the Date or Invitation from the top menu bar.
Browse the gallery and click a design to select it.
Select Premium Digital from the product options on the right, then click Customize Now.

Front of Card
Under Silhouette, select a layout for your card.
Click directly on any text in the card preview to edit it.
Under Wallpaper Color, choose a background color to complement your design.
When you're happy with the front, click Next: Edit Back.
Back of Card
Select a back-of-card design featuring photo, text, or link combinations.
Click the text fields to make edits.
Click the photo to import a photo.
Click the QR code to make edits to which page it directs to.
Envelope
Choose your Envelope Color.
Under Reveal Animation, choose an animation style or select None.
When all looks good, click Next: Review.
Not sure which design to choose? Create as many drafts as you'd like and review them on your Drafts Page before finalizing your order.
Review and Purchase
Review the front and back.
Select your Quantity.
Decide on your delivery method(s).
Email delivery is included in the cost.
Text (SMS) delivery is an add-on feature for Premium Digital Cards and includes an additional cost. (Available for US and Canadian phone numbers only.)
Predefined bundles are available in sizes of 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000. Choose a quantity that matches your guest list size and consider future adjustments.
When you're ready, click Go to Checkout. The minimum order quantity for Premium Digital Cards is 50 cards.
Note: SMS delivery of Premium Digital Cards is for sending your digital cards only. It does not include text blasts, RSVP reminders, or hotel reminders. Those are covered by Messaging Plus, a separate purchase.
Making Edits After Your Purchase
Go to your Orders Page.
Select your digital card.
Click Edit Your Card.
Make your updates.
Click Submit Changes.
You can edit your card even after sending. Updates apply to previously sent cards and future deliveries.
Sending Premium Digital Cards
Sharing your digital cards is fast and simple.
You can deliver your card by:
Email
SMS text message
Shareable link
Email and shareable link delivery are included. SMS delivery is available as a paid add-on (available for US and Canada).

Sending via Email or SMS Text Message
After purchasing, you'll be taken to the send screen. You can return anytime from your Orders Page.
Customize Your Message
Click Edit Subject.
Update the sender name.
Edit the subject line.
Your sender name and subject line appear in both email and SMS deliveries, along with the link to your card.
Send a Test
To test email:
Click Send Test Email.
The test will automatically go to the website owner.
To test SMS:
Add yourself to your guest list with your phone number.
Click Select Recipients.
Select your name.
Send a test message.
Choose Recipients
Click Select Recipients.
Choose guests from your guest list.
Select your delivery method:
Email: Each guest will get a personalized email addressed to them and their household. If you've filled out the Envelope Name column, we'll use it. If you don't fill out the Envelope name column, the cards will be addressed to the first name of everyone in the party. For example, "Jonah and Jenna" or "Adam and Guest" (for unnamed plus-ones).
Text Message: Each guest will receive a text message from Joy with your custom message and card link.
Both: The guest will receive both a personalized email and a text message.
If you've added phone numbers to your guest list but don't see the text option, make sure the country code is included.
Click Select (x) People.
Click Send Card.
SMS Delivery Availability
SMS delivery is currently supported for phone numbers in the United States and Canada. Phone numbers outside these regions will not receive cards by text. If you're sending to international guests, use a shareable link instead.
Note: Links in SMS deliveries are automatically shortened to a withjoy.com/go/[code] format. This is because Joy includes personalization information in the URL for each guest, which makes the original link too long for SMS. The shortened link will take guests directly to your digital card.
Sending via Shareable Link
If you have international guests, or just want to drop your card into a group chat or social post, a shareable link is the easiest option. No guest list required.
Scroll to the bottom of your Send Page.
Click Copy Card Link.
Paste it into a text, group chat, or social media post.
Note: Delivery tracking (like opens and clicks) is only available with email and SMS delivery.
Tracking Delivery
Once sent, you can view delivery status for emails and SMS messages.
Click Messaging from the Event Dashboard.
Select Sent.
Select the card you want to view tracking for.

Ordering Matching Paper Cards
If you'd like a physical version of your design, as a keepsake or for guests who'd appreciate something to hold onto, you can order matching paper cards.
From your Event Dashboard, click Invitations and you'll land on your Orders Page.
Select your digital card.
Choose the option to order matching paper cards.
Complete checkout. The minimum order quantity for printed cards is 4 cards.
Sending More Cards
Need to send additional cards later?
From your Event Dashboard, click Invitations.
Click Send More or Resend.
Choose Select Recipients.
Select your guests.
Click Send Card.
