When guests contribute to your cash funds by credit card, or when a Get Cash Equivalent purchase comes through, that money lands in your Joy Wallet first. It's your central place to see what's come in and move it to your bank when you're ready.
Checking your balance
From your Event Dashboard, click Registry, then select the Track Gifts tab. Your Joy Wallet appears at the bottom of the page under Cash Received.
Here is what each field means:
Available Balance. Money that has settled and is ready to transfer to your bank.
Pending Transactions. Contributions that are on their way. These funds will be available soon.
Pending Withdrawals. A transfer to your bank has been requested and is on its way.
Previously Withdrawn. Total funds that have been transferred to your bank.
Lifetime Received. Total funds you've received with Joy.
What goes into your Joy Wallet
Two types of payments flow into your Joy Wallet:
Credit card cash fund contributions. When a guest contributes to one of your cash funds by credit card, that amount is deposited into your Joy Wallet after Stripe processes the payment. Most contributions appear within 1 to 3 business days, though many arrive sooner. Learn about cash transfer timing here.
Get Cash Equivalent payouts. When a guest purchases an item with Get Cash Equivalent enabled, the cash value is deposited into your Joy Wallet.
Note: Contributions made via PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp go directly to your account on those platforms. They do not appear in your Joy Wallet.
Transferring funds to your bank
Your Joy Wallet requires a connected Stripe account to receive credit card contributions and process bank transfers. If you haven't set one up yet, clicking Transfer to Bank will prompt you to connect your account. Learn more here.
When you're ready to transfer:
Click Transfer to Bank in the Joy Wallet section.
Enter the amount you'd like to transfer, or select the full balance.
Confirm the bank account connected through Stripe.
Click Transfer.
Transfers typically arrive within 3 to 5 business days. A $1.70 flat fee applies to each transfer. If it has been 6 or more business days and your funds haven't arrived, reach out to our support team and we'll look into it.
Tip: To minimize transfer fees, consider holding your balance and making one transfer after your event rather than several smaller ones along the way.
One more thing
Joy Store Credit is separate from your Joy Wallet. Store credit can only be used toward purchases in the Joy Shop and cannot be transferred to your bank.
