Add Photos to Your Website and App

Your photos are probably on your phone. Your website is on your computer. That gap is exactly why Joy lets you upload straight from your camera roll by scanning a QR code on your desktop. No airdrop. No emailing yourself files. You can also pull from Google Drive, Dropbox, or Facebook, or drag photos over from your computer. Every photo you add becomes part of your Joy library, ready to use across your site as page photos, in albums, or anywhere else you want a personal touch.

Click Photo Moments from your Event Dashboard to get started.

Upload from Your Computer

  • Click Add Photos.

  • Select Upload from this device.

The uploader will open.

  • Drag and drop photos directly onto the window, or click Select Files to Upload to browse your computer.

You can also import from connected sources using the icons in the left sidebar: Link (URL), Unsplash, Facebook, Google Drive, or Dropbox.

Note: Avoid spaces or special characters like & in your photo filenames before uploading. These can cause upload errors.

Upload from Your Phone

Most photos live on your phone. Instead of airdropping them to your computer first, you can connect your phone directly and upload from your camera roll in a few taps.

  • Click Add Photos, then select Upload from phone.

  • A QR code will appear on your desktop screen. Open your phone's camera and scan it. You'll land directly on a Joy upload page, no login required.

  • Tap Upload photos.

  • Choose Photo Library, Take Photo, or Choose Files.

  • Select the photos you want and tap Upload. You can select one at a time or several at once.

Your photos will appear in your Joy library on your desktop as they upload.

Tip: Keep your desktop browser open while you upload from your phone so you can watch the photos come in and confirm everything transferred correctly.

What to Do Next

Every photo you upload is stored in your Joy library and can be assigned as a page photo for any page on your site. To set or change a page photo, see Choose Your Page Photo.

You can also organize photos into albums to display them on your website or share them with guests. See Shared Photo Albums.
