You just sent your first round of messages. Now comes the relief (they went out!) mixed with a little anxiety (did everyone get them?). Here's where you can check delivery status.
Access Tracking
Click Messaging from your Event Dashboard, then select Track & Send.
The Tracking Dashboard
When you land on the tracking page, you'll see a table of every message batch you've sent. Each row shows:
Subject - the message title or card name
Message Type - General Message, Reminder, Digital Card, Text Blast, etc.
Date - when it was sent
Sent - total number sent
Delivered - how many reached their destination
Failed - how many didn't go through
View Details - click to see the full recipient list
Note: If you just sent a message, it may take a few minutes to appear here. Delivery status can take up to an hour to fully update.
View Details for a Specific Message
Click View Details next to any message to see the full recipient breakdown.
At the top, you'll see a summary:
Sent - total recipients
Delivered - successful deliveries
Failed - undeliverable messages
Below that, every recipient is listed with their name, delivery address (email or phone number), current status, and a View Message link.
View What Was Sent
Click View Message next to any recipient to see exactly what they received.
Filter by Status
Click Delivered or Failed at the top to filter the list. This is especially helpful when you need to identify which messages didn't go through.
Premium Digital Card Tracking
If you sent Premium Digital Cards, you can see whether recipients opened their card, not just whether the message delivered. You'll also have more options for resending.
How Open Tracking Works
Premium Digital Cards are sent as unique personal links. Joy tracks whether each link has been opened.
At the top of the View Details page, you'll see a fourth metric:
Viewed - how many recipients opened their card
This counts link opens, not delivery methods. If you send someone a card via both email and text, and only the email was opened but the text wasn't, it still counts as viewed.
View Delivery Attempts for a Recipient
Click the arrow next to any recipient's name to open a side panel showing all delivery attempts for that person.
Each delivery attempt shows:
The delivery method (email address or phone number)
When it was sent
Current status
Latest activity date
View - click to see the full delivery timeline
Resend a Premium Digital Card
To manually resend the card, click Resend next to the recipient's name. You'll see options to:
Copy the card link
Send via WhatsApp
Send via text message
Send via email
These options send through your own phone or email app, not through Joy. Select your preferred method and your messaging app will open with the link ready to send. Because these are sent outside of Joy, they won't appear in your tracking dashboard.
What the Status Indicators Mean
Sent - The message is queued or on its way. Check back in an hour.
Delivered - The message reached the carrier successfully.
Failed - The message couldn't be delivered. This usually means an invalid email address or phone number not formatted correctly.
Viewed (Premium Digital only) - The recipient opened their unique card link.
If a message failed to deliver, double-check the email address or phone number in your guest list, then resend.
