Adding a Honeymoon or Cash Fund to Your Registry
Updated over a week ago

Joy is your versatile gift registry playground โ€“ you can choose from a treasure trove of options: physical gifts, dreamy honeymoons, or the practicality of cash funds.

To add some cash to your mix, just head over to the Gifts tab on your Registry page. Then, click the "Add Gift" button, and select "Add Cash Fund." You can add as many cash funds as your heart desires.

And here's the cherry on top: Joy lets you customize your cash funds to your liking โ€“ change the name, image, note, and size, and decide how you want to collect your gifts.

Setting your cash fund goal

Alright, let's talk cash fund goals! With Joy, you've got options galore. Guests can either contribute specific "Fixed Amounts" you set or go wild and enter "Any Amount" they fancy.

Imagine this: You're aiming for a $1000 goal, and you've set the fixed gift amount at $50. But hold on to your hats, because you can easily switch it up. Want to reach a $2000 goal instead? Just tweak the quantity to 40. Or, heck, change the gift amount to $100 for a whole new vibe. The more you play with it, the more your total goal amount dances along!

Now, if you go with "Any Amount," guests have the freedom to contribute whatever tickles their fancy. How cool is that?

Linking your cash fund to a cash gifting service

When you're setting up your cash fund, you've got options. Take your pick from PayPal.Me, Venmo, or Cash App. Don't have an account yet? No worries, you can create a PayPal.Me link right here. If you and your crew are hanging out in the U.S., you can also snag Venmo here or Square Cash here. Plus, you can accept contributions directly from your guests using a credit card for added convenience. For more details on this, check out our handy article. And if you're scratching your head about your username, our trusty instructions are here.

Now, when your fantastic guests want to add to your cash fund, they'll swing by your Registry page, click on the fund, and make their move. They'll decide how much they want to chip in, choose a payment method, and toss in their name and email. If they're feeling fancy, they can even add a little note. And just like that, your gift is in the bag, reserved on your Joy site!

After they hit the "Choose Payment Method" button, they'll get sent to the payment platform. Depending on their payment method, they'll see a button that says "Send with Cash/Check" or "Send with Venmo/CashApp/Paypal."

If they go for cash/check, they'll get your mailing address. For Venmo, they'll need to fire up the Venmo app and use your username. And if you're rolling with PayPal or CashApp, they'll click a button to hop over to those platforms and seal the deal.

And here's the grand finale: When they wrap it up, the money zips into your Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp account like magic. If it doesn't, they might've fallen down a cute animal video rabbit hole.

Editing your cash fund

Tweaking your cash registry on Joy is a breeze! Once it's all set up, just head to your Registry Page, then give your cash fund a click.

You've got the power to change the title, photo, note, and payment method whenever you fancy. If you're thinking of switching payment methods, no problem, just remember that any cash gifts you've already received won't jump ship to the new method.

You can also play around with the gift amount and quantity, but keep in mind that your new total goal can't be less than the gifts you've already collected.

And voila! Dive in and have a blast creating your honeymoon and cash funds!
