Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication
Updated over a week ago

We know how important it is to keep your Joy account secure, and that’s where Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) comes in. MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring two types of verification. This means you’ll need your password and a code sent to your device to login, making it much harder for anyone else to access your account. It’s an easy way to keep your info safe and sound!

How To Set Up MFA

  • Head over to your Account Settings Page.

  • Scroll down and click on "Set Up Two-Factor Authentication."

  • Log in to your account again for security.

  • Choose your preferred method: "Google Authenticator or similar" or "SMS."

  • If you pick an Authenticator App, scan the QR Code and enter the one-time code from the app.

  • If you go with SMS, enter your mobile number and hit "Continue." Then, enter the code sent to your phone (it might take a few minutes to arrive).

  • Click "Continue," and you’re all set!

How To Disable MFA

  • Select "Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication."

  • Confirm by choosing "Remove Two-Factor Authentication."

  • For security, log in to your account again.

  • Enter the code from your authenticator app or the text message you received.

  • Hit "Continue," and you’re good to go!
