Youll begin your adventure with a beautiful scenic drive to an outstanding Silletero Farm (Flower Farm) in Antioquia. On arrival; youll enjoy a traditional drink made of coffee and aguardiente (an alcoholic beverage made from sugar cane) called a Carajillo. Following this warming beverage; youll start strolling through the wonderful crops of flowers filled with many colors and amazing aromas. Youll begin to learn the history and traditions of the Silleteros dating back generations and generations.
Theyll provide you with a demonstration of how to make a traditional Silleta (the flower arrangement built on a wooden base and worn on their backs); and youll get to create your own and become a Silletero; if only for a brief moment of time.
