In the immortal words of Miley Cyrus, “the sky is more blue in Malibu.” Home to jaw-dropping celebrity homes and pristine beaches, Malibu is also a great place to plan a wedding. The beauty of the beaches and mountains take your breath away, and the climate feels (and produces wine) like Tuscany. And, if you can stomach the cost, then Malibu’s wedding venues will not disappoint.
From wooded ranches to the golden shores of the Pacific, we’ve scouted the best Malibu wedding venues for your dream wedding.
Calamigos Ranch
The worst part about getting married at Calamigos Ranch might be having to choose your ceremony site. Because, if you can believe it, the waterfall-surrounded stone terrace pictured above is not the only head-spinningly beautiful ceremony site on the 130-acre ranch. And if you came for the natural beauty, then you’ll stay for the food. Calamigos’ dining team serves up mouth-watering Californian fare with ingredients that are locally grown — sometimes right on the property.
Capacity: 400
Typical cost: $14,000 – $40,000
Bonus: Interested in a Winter wedding? Calamigos offers a $10 per person discount in January and February.

Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyards
We just have one thing to say about Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate vineyards: helipad ceremony site 2,000 feet high in the mountains. Oh, it’s also a Tuscan-style villa with an award-winning winery. But, mostly, there’s a helipad ceremony site 2,000 feet high in the Santa Monica mountains. Yes, this place comes with a pretty price tag and some notable logistical issues. (For example, you’ll need to rent port-a-potties and your caterer won’t be able to use the kitchen.) But, come on, just look at it.
Capacity: 150
Typical cost: Rental cost $15,000 – $35,000
Bonus: This place was apparently featured in everybody’s favorite comedy classic, The Hangover 3.

The Sunset Restaurant
If a beach wedding is what you’re after, then you must check out Malibu’s Sunset Restaurant. For some reason it’s hard to have your ceremony *on* the beach in Malibu. But Sunset Restaurant solves that problem, and has stellar food and service. Their all-inclusive wedding package covers everything you need for a beach ceremony, hors d’oeuvres at the outdoor lounge, and an elegant indoor reception.
Capacity: 120 with a dance floor, 150 without
