Joy offers a wide range of features. Can I pick and choose which ones to use?
Absolutely. Joy’s wedding website builder is designed to suit weddings of all kinds. You can turn off any features that don’t fit your celebration. No wedding party? Not interested in a countdown? Just remove that section from your dashboard and it’ll be removed from your website and app.
Can I personalize my wedding website for specific guests, like my wedding party or rehearsal dinner guests?
Yes, you can adjust your schedule visibility so only certain events and details are shown to specific guests. You can also add password protection to any section of your site, so only your guests can access your wedding details.
Can I launch my website in stages? For example, can I make some info live while keeping other details private?
You can update your website at any time. If there’s information you’re still finalizing, you can add TBD or leave it out for now. Guests won’t be notified automatically when you make changes, but you can easily send an email through our platform to keep them informed.
Do you support custom domains?
Yes, you can purchase a domain name directly from Joy (or use one you already own) and set it up to forward to your withjoy.com URL when someone visits your domain.
Can I use the website without the app?
You can use Joy to create your wedding website and choose not to share the app download links. However, if you want your guests to upload photos to your website, they’ll need the app.
What do I need to open a Joy account?
You can create a Joy account with your email or Facebook.

Can I assign a specific number of plus ones to my guests?

Do I need to know the names of all my plus ones?
Short answer: No. We know guests might bring someone new or change who they're bringing. In those cases, just give them a spot for a plus one.
Do I need a guest’s email address before they RSVP?
You don’t need a guest’s email address for them to RSVP. However, if you want to send ecards to your guests through Joy before they RSVP, you’ll need their email addresses to do so.
Do guests need to create an account to RSVP?
No. Creating an account is completely optional, and guests are only prompted after they finish their RSVP.
