How did the two of you meet?
We meet at work. On Ian’s first day, Zorana was sent to get him from the lobby – it was love at first sight!
Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Ian surprised Zorana with a weekend getaway at Pismo Beach with some friends. The next day, Ian and their friends convinced Zorana to take the stairs which led her under the Pismo Beach Pier boardwalk. Next to the pillars she found rose petals everywhere, handwritten signs in the sand making a walkway with our most memorable times we had in our relationship and at the end stood a table with our pictures, Bible verses and a box saying “open me” and inside the box it said “will you…” Zorana turned around and saw Ian down on one knee, he finished the question with “marry me?” She said “YES!” Ian picked Pismo Beach to propose because this was our first trip together and means a lot to us. Ian and our friends planned out the surprise proposal perfectly! I cried like a baby!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Food and cake tastings! Also, receiving calls and texts from our family and friends telling us they are so excited to celebrate the big day.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Crossfit gives us one hour to just let it all out, playing with our big puppy Kai and thankfully, we have many family and friends helping out.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
Having our guests RSVP through the site. The phone app is amazing. We love how easy it is to navigate yet looks so modern!
