Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Jen was in graduate school at the time and woke up to a letter from Justin saying, “It has been a while. You have been working so hard in class, at work, in our home. I want to take you out somewhere special. Make sure you wear something nice today”. After class, Justin took Jen to Port Jefferson. He was acting a bit weird, stalling. The restaurant they wanted to eat at was packed so Justin took Jen to another place they loved up the block. After dinner, Justin was still stalling and wanted to grab coffee. Afterward, they trekked down to the port where boats are by the water. There is a bench there that symbolizes love for them since Justin took Jen to this bench the first time he told her he was in love with her. Once there, Justin put his things down and they talked until Justin got up and started to tear up. He said he loved Jen so much and couldn’t imagine a life without her. Justin got down on bended knee while overlooking the water. He even had photographer capturing every second!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
We are having a DIY wedding. I’d say the best part will be seeing all of our hard work, beautifully displayed. It has also been amazing bonding over every decision, cake tasting, and food tasting!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
I don’t really stay sane. I just cry to Justin and he calms me down!

Justin and I are homeowners and we truly value our financial independence. We work hard to ensure a stable life for our future children. So, our wedding might last one day, but joy lasts forever. Our love will be fierce and endless no matter how big or small our wedding is!
