Joy Proposal Story: Yesenia & Antonio

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

We met on February 22, 2014, and he proposed the following day we met on February 23, 2014. Crazy! Right? It was love at first sight (or bump I should say). We just knew we were meant for one another. He took me out to a basketball game and that night, declared his love to me and asked me to be his wife. I said, “Yes!” and went on a celebratory dinner afterward. We didn’t tell anyone until a year later. We knew everyone would’ve thought we were crazy!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

Everything! Especially having everything organized. Using Joy,  I don’t have to flip through endless pages in a binder. From accommodations, addresses, directions, general information and so much more, I love that my guests can stay connected with us and find out all of our important details. A huge bonus is having guests RSVP on our website which allows us to save money on prints and postage!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

Stay ahead of the game by planning and organizing with Joy! Guest names, email addresses, addresses, notes, and so on. It’s a lot to keep track of and Joy takes the stress out of organizing and categorizing.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

We love everything about Joy! Our favorite thing is the guest list! It’s extremely organized and we have all of our reference information in one place. It’s neat that I can categorize guests into groups like tables, bridesmaids, family, and so on!

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

Create your Joy site early on! To make it easier, input information as you go. You don’t want to be doing it all a few months before the wedding or it will become extremely stressful. Get to know Joy, explore all it has to offer, and don’t be afraid to play around! Once you have all of your information filled out, your website is ready and you can ask your guests to join. This will make it easier on them too, to find out all of the important details in case they lost the invitation and need more information regarding the wedding.

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

With joy, you can go back in time to your wedding day! After the wedding, you can visit the site and reminisce on a beautiful day that flashed in front of your eyes. I look at it as an online guest book as your guests can add notes and share pictures from your day. Joy allows you to cherish all the hard work that went into creating the wedding of your dreams. Looking back at memories is what’s most important to me. With joy, it’s possible to keep living the joy of your wedding day for a lifetime.
