Joy Proposal Story: Warwick & Brigitte

How did the two of you meet?

She was a rugby referee and I was a rugby player, and I saw her at a few sevens tournaments.

The memories that we make with each other, our family, and our friends on the wedding day will last forever.

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

On the 1st of December in her little town of Seatoun in Wellington, I proposed. She has this amazing painting of a warf in Seatoun where she grew up. I proposed on the warf and now every time we see the painting it reminds us of the day we got engaged.

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

Probably finding and sorting the venue, that’s been pretty cool.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

How easy it has been not having to worry about sending out paper invitations, and how cool the app is!

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

Spend a couple of hours on it to get use to it. It’s pretty exciting planning it all on the app.

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

The memories that we make with each other, our family, and our friends on the wedding day will last forever.
