Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
New Years Eve 2016 we were in Paris. We had an artist in Montmartre draw our portrait when he held out the ring while he was being drawn!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Knowing that we both have the same ideas about the wedding, just simple and casual.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We’re both in nursing school so we’ve had plenty of distraction from wedding planning. We like to take walks around our neighborhood to discuss ideas and brainstorm during study breaks. We’re excited to both be done with school this spring and we can focus on getting the wedding planning finished!
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
We enjoy the option of using it for RSVPs and it also allows guests to upload pictures from the event.
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
I would tell couples to play around with it for a couple of weeks before sharing it with guests so they can change things around and make it exactly what they want.
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
Joy is found through the adventures we have together and is accomplished by keeping our stress low and communicating clearly with each other. We keep this theme through everything we do, including wedding planning, by doing this it will allow us to have fond memories of our special day.
