Joy Proposal Story: Vilde & Emil

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

In all the years we have been together, he never wanted to get married and I had settled with his decision. We went to his sister’s wedding in May 2017. When driving from the church to the wedding party, he was so quiet. One month later, he came home after work super nervous, came up to our room, and looked at me for a while. I was tidying up, he didn’t say anything, but I could see something was going on. I asked him what was up. He then walked towards me, held both his arms around my waist, looked me in the eyes, and said, “I need to ask you something”. Still holding me, looking me in the eyes, he asked, “Will you marry me?”. I screamed with happiness and surprise, we weren’t supposed to get married! How could this be! I cried my eyes out immediately, screaming, “Yes!” He took out the prettiest, most classy ring I’ve ever seen. White gold, one big stone. He’d bought it that day and came straight home, he couldn’t wait. We kissed and went out celebrating. My mother-in-law was so happy she cried for several days every time she saw us!
