Joy Proposal Story: Jenna & Eric

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

We were in San Francisco for a date night to see Book of Mormon and stopped at a cute little restaurant to have dinner before the show. At the end of the meal, when I came back from the restroom, there was a small box on the table waiting for me.

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

Thinking about the best way to craft a vacation for all of our closest friends where we happen to get married in the middle of it!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

So far, it hasn’t been very stressful. We have a lot of time and are enjoying gradually working our way through things. But when one of us does get stressed, we like to hop on our bikes and go for a ride together.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

The highly customizable RSVP portal!

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

Play around with every option. There’s probably a way to do what you want to do, you just have to find it!

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

A wedding is about making a commitment to another person, to choose them every day, to keep choosing them and to keep choosing to make your life together full of joy. That’s easy to do on a wedding day, specially crafted by a team of people to be perfect.  It’s less easy but more important to keep that feeling of joy going when it’s just a regular Tuesday and someone forgot to take out the trash.
