Joy Proposal Story: Taylor & Nic

by Allie Grampa

Give us the details! When? Where? How?

He proposed to me on my favorite beach in California last March! He made it so that I spent the day being loved on by my friends, then my extended family, then my siblings, then my parents. They each had a box with the key inside. The key inside unlocked the box for the next group of people. Each box was also filled with love letters, pictures, special memories together with those people. Each group has specific outing that meant something special between me and that group.

The truth is weddings, or the celebration of marriage, shouldn’t last one day, it should last a lifetime! It’s about the joy of your love and life together, which is the most important aspect of life itself.

He wanted me to feel very loved and special. It ended with him, the last key from my parents, and a tiny box on my favorite beach! Of course the ring was inside that box, along with the special note he wrote specifically for that day.  It was a very memorable day and I’ll always think fondly of it.

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

My favorite experience planning the wedding has been seeing all my friends and family come together to help prepare this special day. People have been so supportive and loving, it truly has been a blessing to me.

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

I really enjoy party planning so it’s been fun for me! But anytime things are stressful, it is simply when there is conflict with a family decision. In which case I love talking it out with friends, jumping in the jacuzzi, or buying myself a nice cappuccino.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

I really enjoy the style and simplicity of the layout. It really helped me get exactly what I wanted, rather than a already set a design that I didn’t enjoy. The joy website allowed me to express my own creativity.

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

I love how Joy keeps web design so simple yet so personable. It gave me such a great opportunity to be creative in a super easy manner.
