LA loves throwing big parties. The weekends buzzes with banging rooftop bashes and pool parties studded with celebrities. So, by contrast, an intimate LA wedding can be all the more memorable—you just have to find the right venue. From charming chapels to romantic restaurants, here are our 5 favorite small wedding venues in Los Angeles.

Venue price ranges are subject to change. Please contact a venue for their most up-to-date pricing.

Petit Ermitage

Known for their scrumptious private rooftop dining, this West Hollywood hotel has not one, but five different bohemian-style rooftop wedding sites for you to choose from. Specifically, you can choose to rent out the fire deck, garden, pool, lounge, and cabana (pictured above), all of which can accommodate a different number of guests. Or, if you can’t choose, you can just rent out all of them. Note that you must be a registered hotel guest to book an event.

Capacity: 12-65 seated

Typical cost: $25,000 – $35,000

Bonus: This place is an art lover’s paradise. The walls of Petit Ermitage serve as a gallery for the owner’s private art collection which includes works from Salvador Dalí, Willem de Kooning, and Joan Miro.

Wayfarers Chapel

The Wayfarers Chapel is a beautiful place to host your small wedding ceremony. Surrounded by redwoods, the stunning glass chapel, which they call the “tree chapel,” will paint your ceremony in gorgeous dappled light. Also, while the chapel’s minister will conduct most of the wedding ceremony, the chapel does accept couples of all different religious backgrounds, as well as same-sex couples.

Capacity: 100

Typical cost: Wedding contribution is $5400 – $6400

Bonus: Enjoy the other natural wonders surrounding the chapel like the rose garden and “arbored walks,” originally planned by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Carondelet House

Built in 1928, the Italian-villa-style Carondelet House is a classic LA wedding venue. Fall in love with the warm wooden flooring, exposed brick, stunning natural lighting, and fantastic antique furniture that fill the space. Plus, their in-house caterer, Très LA, has yet to disappoint.

Bonus: This is the site Maroon 5 wedding-crashed in their “Sugar” music video.

Michael’s Santa Monica
