Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
The plan she knew was that we were asked out by our friends Susie and Jeff to a double date happy hour at Daniel’s Broiler in Bellevue, WA. (Having Jeff ask us was part of the deception!). Little did she know, on the walk from the elevators out of the parking garage and towards the building that a proposal was lying in wait. I had staged almost 30 friends and family on a sky bridge overlooking the courtyard along with a friend who specializes in photography at ground zero. When we crossed in front of the fountain, I made my move and popped the question. She said, “Yes!” and the crowd went wild! After some initial celebration, we stopped at a local restaurant for drinks and appetizers.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Choosing the venue and working with our DJ and planner at Sound Source Seattle, Canon. The venue is the first time you can imagine everything that will happen the day of and Canon has been a huge part of painting the picture of our wedding day, even months away.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Honest communication and a supportive friend group.
