Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Miguel proposed on Christmas in our apartment. It was the first time we were alone in New York without our families (who live in Colombia and France). We spent the day volunteering and when we came home, started to open our gifts. One of my gifts was a big box and when I opened it I saw a pouch with “Miss to Mrs” and I realized what was happening! I could not believe it! It could not have been a better proposal – at home, together, on a special day!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Definitely not agreeing on the guest list! It’s been fun to think of ideas on how to make this event unique to us and what we’ll do to bring our friends & family together from around the world and show them our different cultures!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We have a glass of wine while working on the wedding!
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
It’s very easy to use and the design is a bit different than other sites!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
I think it’s important to browse through the site before starting. Check all the options, tabs, etc. before you decide what you want to do!
