Joy Proposal Story: Jennifer & Steve

Joy Proposal Story: Jennifer & Steve

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

Full Disclosure: I knew something was up because I found out that he had dinner with my parents a few days before he proposed. He can’t lie to save his life and it was really sweet.

We were having a great time at my usual karaoke spot for my birthday. Halfway through the night, I saw Steve’s name in the queue after our friend Jason’s. After Jason sang a song that he dedicated to us, “You’re Just Too Good to Be True” by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, the DJ announced that Steve was next. But, he didn’t sing. Instead, he gave a heartfelt speech about how much he loved me and what I’ve meant to him since we met. He got down on one knee in front of our friends and family and presented the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen in my life! My mom, dad, and brother Casey were there that night and my mom recorded everything on her phone. I felt like I was floating on a cloud for the rest of the night, like the luckiest woman on earth with that ring on my finger. I’ve been constantly amazed at how Steve shows his love and commitment and he makes me want to be the best person possible. No other man has shown me the kind of love that he gives and he completely changed my life that night by asking me to marry him. At the end of the night, Steve showed me a video of all the Snapchats he did throughout the day leading up to the proposal. It was so incredibly sweet and it’s one of the little things he does that prove to me that he’s the one.
