Joy Proposal Story: Sam & Aidan

Joy Proposal Story: Sam & Aidan

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

We were on a trip to Florida to visit his parents for Thanksgiving. We climbed to the top of a lighthouse, something I had never done before, and he proposed! With an obligatory cheesy speech about lighthouses and his love shining brightly for me.

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

I love looking at decorating ideas!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

I got a book called, “A Practical Wedding Planner” which asked us to write a wedding mission statement, I really enjoyed that. I think it will help keep us grounded in what we really want for our wedding!

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

I love that I can have guests RSVP right on the site without the hassle of having them send one in the mail! I also love that we can share our story, information about our wedding party, guests can share pictures with us… there is so much to love!

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

Tell your guests on the invitation that the website has a lot of valuable information! Also, remind them to take and share pictures on the app so you can have great candid shots of the big day!

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

A priority for us on our wedding day is to have amazing photos, both professional and by guests. Pictures help us remember moments that may have passed us by during the day. We will always be able to look back at our pictures and relive the joy of our wedding. That joy will stay with us for the rest of our life.
