First off, congrats! What is your most memorable moment from the wedding?
Walking back down the aisle after our ceremony with clown noses on. It was perfectly us.
What were the colors of your wedding?
Green and purple with splashes of red.
What do you think worked really well at your wedding that you would recommend every couple to do?
We had a lot of help from our friends, making a list of everything helped them to understand what we needed to do. We tried to make lists for everything to keep focused.
Would you have done anything differently—splurge on a pricier dress, nix the favors, go for that extra passed appetizer?
Hire a day-of-coordinator or even a coordinator for the day before. We did a lot of the wedding ourselves, I think hiring a coordinator would have helped relieve just a little of the stress!
What tips do you have for other Joy couples still in the midst of wedding planning?
Go on dates! Take moments for yourselves away from wedding planning. It’s easy to get caught up in the planning process and it feels refreshing to take a moment to simply enjoy your engagement together.
What were your favorite features of Joy?
The guest list. It is so helpful!

We get to spend our fun, crazy, hectic moments together! We have a partner to lean on and to enjoy things with, a friend and a confidant. It’s exciting knowing that we get to bring our lives and our futures together.

Venue: Harvest Moon Farm (Family Farm)
This was our family’s home, they have had a few local weddings there. It is the perfect space and so gorgeous!

He was fantastic! I felt completely comfortable with him around and he captured the true essence of us and our wedding.
Shelly was fantastic to work with. I told her my vision and she expanded on it and created the most perfectly gorgeous bouquets and arbor arrangement.
Our food was such a hit! Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully arranged. Back East BBQ was also so easy to work with.
Pure Bliss makes gorgeous cakes desserts! Everything was very well made.
They were SO much fun! They learned and slowed down our preferred song for our first dance and brought such great energy. Everything they played was on point!

She was so much fun and gave me the exact style I was imagining.
Makeup Artist: Bre Sanders
Bre knows her makeup!! She was such a sweetheart and did my makeup so quick and it lasted all night. She also did my Mother-in-law’s makeup and it also turned out gorgeous.
Dress Boutique: Bella Brides
Bella Brides was so much fun, they didn’t have a problem with me bringing and extra 2 people to my appointment and they let my guests help me pick out my dress. Jesseca at Bella Brides was so patient and kind and a dream to work with.
Awesome dresses! All of my bridesmaids loved them! They all felt confident and comfortable in their dresses all night long! And they looked fabulous on all of my girls.
