Real Wedding: Josh & Linette

by Kelsey Vickers

Singaporean couple Josh and Linette share details on their Autumn-inspired wedding!

First off, congrats! What is your most memorable moment from the wedding?

The feeling after saying ‘I do’ was indescribable and satisfying altogether! We felt immense relief and thankfulness to come this far, and know that the moment had finally arrived after all the waiting and preparation.

What were the colors of your wedding?

Our wedding was Autumn-inspired! We had tones of mauve pink, mustard, deep green, and burgundy.

What do you think worked really well at your wedding that you would recommend every couple to do?

Setting a vision and mission statement for our wedding! This helped us to focus on the purpose of our wedding and our marriage so that when we deviated or had disagreements in the midst of the planning, we could come back to our main purpose!

Would you have done anything differently—splurge on a pricier dress, nix the favors, go for that extra passed appetizer?

I wished I prepared my speeches way earlier and beforehand! The last-minute rush was really frantic!

What tips do you have for other Joy couples still in the midst of wedding planning?

Enjoy the process and try not to be too much of a control freak!

What were your favorite features of Joy?

I loved adding the moments, the tidbits, and customizing questions for your guests RSVP!

At Joy we believe that although a wedding lasts one day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you and your partner?

Don’t loose sight of building your marriage in the midst of planning for the wedding!
