5 Unique Wedding Photographers in Jacksonville

If you’re getting married in Northeast Florida, there’s no shortage of excellent photographers to capture your big day. To help you find just the right person to take your wedding photos, today we’re bringing you five of the best and most unique wedding photographers in the Jacksonville area.

Compass Wedding Collective

Photojournalistic, natural, visceral.

Her Philosophy: “Sometimes a couple has a moodier vibe, sometimes a couple is more carefree and lighthearted, and my goal is to capture life and people as honestly as possible. My photography style is a bit unorthodox for Northeast Florida. A lot of photographers in my area (and clients) like bright and airy images. I love and appreciate that style, but my work is a lot more dark, earthy, and moody color-wise and fits well with couples who are wild, adventurous, a bit whimsical, sentimental, and have an appreciation for creativity/doing things differently.”

What she wants her clients to know: “The best experiences I have with couples are ones where they let me in and trust me 100% with their photography, and the ones that invite me in, not just as a vendor, but as a friend. I’m such a people person, and my favorite weddings are ones where I become truly great friends with the couple, their family, and their bridal party.”

Bonus: Compass does offer a special price if you book both photography and videography. They understand it’s a big investment and want to help their couples out where they can!

Picture Me This by Lacie

Custom-tailored.

Her philosophy: “Not all couples are the same, so I don’t have a set style. I tailor sessions to my clients and setting. I can do a little dark and moody or light and airy. I think the fact I don’t try to fit clients into my style but instead tailor their session to them makes me unique.”

What she wants her clients to know: “I want my clients to have fun, to take the time to stop and enjoy this beautiful moment in their lives. I recently had a wedding where I had the bride and groom exchange letters before their first look. They read them aloud to each other back to back holding hands. A wave of emotion overcame them and they have the most sincere intimate moment. It was beautiful!”

Bonus: Currently offering 10% off Wedding & Elopement packages!

Christopher Cintron Photography

A natural warmth.

His philosophy: “I like natural light and aim to get natural interactions between couples. I want the photos that are warm and will let couples remember how they felt in that moment.”

What he wants his clients to know: “Getting to capture such a special time in a couples life together. It’s a great feeling knowing I’m helping them preserve their memories.I want couples to know I’m all about getting the real love stuff and making sure they are free to be themselves in front of the camera. If it involves sky lanterns or nature I’m in!”

Bonus: Christopher includes an engagement session with any wedding package and offer 10% off for military.

Alondra Vega Photography

Soft and modern.

Her philosophy: “I love capturing candid moments that show off the couples personality. I love that I get to build a relationship with each couple. I get to capture one of the most important stage of their lives. I get to meet their family and become part of it.”

What she wants her clients to know: “What makes my photography unique is my couples. Each couple has a completely different love story and I capture just that. What I believe makes me stand out is the experience of being an AVP couple. I try my best to make my couples feel comfortable in front of the lens and not be afraid to be themselves. I see more and more brides putting emphasis on the details and I LOVE IT! I love the more modern/ traditional bride.”

Bonus: Alondra posts deals on her social media, so keep an eye out!

Jesse and Lex Wedding Co.

Emotionally driven.

Their philosophy: “We’re inspired by photographing genuine moments that are focused on light, composition, and micro-expressions that show the true friendship and connection between people in love. Not only do we want to document the occasion, we want to capture the feeling of being there as our couples remember it. We love creating a narrative of the day from start to finish while ensuring that our couples are as carefree and present as possible during their most memorable experiences. We get a tremendous amount of joy out of the whole process.

What they want their clients to know: “We love getting to know our couples on a personal level during our first meeting! We love learning and understanding their love, and the way they interact and operate as a team during the engagement shoot. We also love showing up on a wedding day and having it be our responsibility to capture these lifelong memories. We love being witness to love and true emotion, so being able to capture that with a camera and make it history is an amazing feeling. I’d say what makes our photography unique is the imagery we are able to create while working as a team. We each come from different backgrounds of photography. Lexi comes from a more fine art and high-concept background, with imagery focused on intentional craft and a lot of attention to detail. While Jesse comes from a mindset focused on micro-expressions and precise composition. During any type of session or wedding we are working together to make sure we do each moment justice, so when our couples are looking back at their images, they can feel the emotion and put themselves right back in that moment.”

Bonus: Jesse and Lexi offer a free engagement shoot if you book our 7 and 8 hour wedding package. They love having the opportunity to shoot with our couples before the actual wedding. This gives them the opportunity to learn a little more about each couple and their relationship, and in return they’re able to learn how Jesse and Lexi operate as photographers. It also gives them some solid practice for their wedding day photos!
