6 Spectacular Outdoor Wedding Venues in the Seattle Area

When most people hear “Seattle” they think mostly of one thing…rain. This doesn’t exactly make the idea of an outdoor wedding a bride’s first choice. Believe it or not, though, Seattle actually has rain-free days, especially in the summertime, which is the perfect time for a wedding! For those adventurous couples who are willing to take the risk, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite outdoor wedding venues in the Seattle area!

Tentwood Events

Tentwood Events is a special type of venue—it’s a pop-up traveling barn! You choose the perfect location and Tentwood Events team will come and set everything up for you. Made from salvaged building materials, this pop-up barn gives you the perfect rustic farm-like feel for your wedding. You can also choose to rent additional decor options such as a stained glass wedding arch, a bar cart, or a reclaimed wood photo booth backdrop to really give your wedding rustic details.

Capacity: Up to 120 guests

Typical Cost: Starting at $6,000

Bonus: Rental costs include tables, chairs, string lights and chandeliers!

Cedarbrook Lodge

Looking for the perfect urban oasis to hold your wedding? Cedarbrook Lodge might be the perfect venue for you! Located in South SeaTac, this venue has easy access to the airport which will be perfect for guests who might be traveling from out of town. The outdoor evergreen Lawn provides a lush green garden setting for your wedding. Also, because Cedarbrook is a lodge, onsite accommodations are available for you and your guests, which means they won’t be able to use “traffic was bad” as an excuse as to why they’re late to your wedding!

Capacity: Up to 200 guests

Typical cost: Packages start at $700 depending on the season the wedding is held in.

Bonus: Cedarbrook also has an onsite spa, so you and your wedding party can treat-yo-selves before or after the wedding!

Robinswood House

Robinswood House is one of the many properties that Seattle Bride owns that are available for weddings and events. As one of the oldest pioneer homesteads in the Puget Sound area (built in 1895), the Robinswood House offers a certain special warmth and charm. Solid oak floors, original hand-notched wood framing, and a vintage stone fireplace that has been converted to gas are just a few of the historic details this house has to offer.

Capacity: Up to 150 guests

Typical costs: Packages starting at $1,000

Bonus: Weekday evening rates tend to be a bit lower, so think about that when planning your wedding here!

Looking for a wedding venue that’s a bit outside of the box? How about getting married on a boat?! The Steamer Virginia V was originally created in 1921 to be part of the West Pass Transportation Company and has since been converted into a chartered boat for events and weddings. You can choose to head out on a 3 hour excursion of Lake Washington and the Puget Sound, or if you’d rather stay closer to home, you can choose to celebrate dockside on Lake Union.

Capacity: Up to 150 guests

Typical Cost: Dockside rentals start at $500/hr and 3 hour excursions start at $5,000 (additional hours can be added for $1,000/hr.)

Bonus: Off-season and mid-week rental discounts are often available so be sure to ask about those!

Fort Nisqually Living History Museum

Now don’t let the idea of having your wedding at a living history museum scare you off! We promise this venue is awesome! This venue offers the flexibility of only renting certain areas within the complex, or you can rent the whole darn thing! One of our favorite areas here is the Fort Nisqually Meadow which is located just outside the complex in a secluded wooded area by the orchard. If you’re interested in renting the meadow, keep in mind it’s only available from June 1st-September 30th, but the rest of the complex is available May through September!

Capacity: Depending on which area you choose to use for you wedding, up to 250 guests can attend.

Typical Cost: Full complex rentals start at $250/hr and the Meadow starts at $500 per time block

Bonus: Want your guests to get the full “time period” feel? Candle lanterns are available for rental!

The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge

The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge offers some of the most stunning views of the Cascade Mountain Range.
