Joy Proposal Story: Lindsay & Jan aka Team FoxCat

Joy Proposal Story: Lindsay & Jan aka Team FoxCat

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

The Fox (Jan) was sneaky, but not nearly as fantastic as he thought he was. The Cat (Lindsay) saw him while he tried to hide. He chose to propose six months after they met on the same day of the week as their first date, at the same time of day, at the same place. Tuesday. 17h30.  The Cat was kind and decided not to give the game away after she spotted him and his friend parked in his car. Also, she wasn’t quite sure what he was doing! She was supposed to meet another friend of his after all. In the end, there was water, a lighthouse, and a sunset, a covert photographer, and a wedding food menu.

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

The excitement of everyone around us and the help from family members.

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

Great question, mostly debriefs with each other. Also, remembering that God is in control and the wedding day is the beginning of forever, not the forever.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

The countdown timer! And of course, all of the nifty layout features for content.

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

Spend time looking at the sample websites to fully understand the potential of the platform. Just like with a new present, try all the buttons! Open and close everything! The pre-populated content was hugely helpful.

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

Joy is a place of contentment that cannot be shaken regardless of what happens. Joy is knowing there is someone at home to call when you bump the car, a hand to hold when you cross the street, or eyes to look into when words don’t suffice. Marriage is part of the great relent in this adventure we share on earth!
