Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
We went on a cross Canada road trip to visit my sister in Alberta. She helped him plan it. We went on a short hike to Moraine Lake at sunrise, he took me out on a small rock ledge and proposed. My sister was up above and behind us, snapping pictures of the picturesque moment. It was my ideal proposal, I had always said (but not to him) that my dream proposal would be private and intimate, and preferably out in nature where it would be beautiful, peaceful, and private.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
I loved picking the decorations and flowers. It was really fun to be able to pick decorations that I wanted that no one else could tell me what to pick.

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
I remind myself that nothing else matters as long as I get to marry my best friend. Everything else is just a bonus.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
Online RSVPs. I try to be as environmentally friendly as I can, so I love being able to do paperless RSVPs using Joy!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Add your registry so everyone can see where you’re registered, utilize the online RSVP’s, and ask for dietary restrictions.
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
Our wedding is just one day to begin the rest of our lives together, that makes me incredibly happy. I can’t wait to call him my husband for the rest of our lives!
