New Jersey newlyweds Kolton and Liz explain what made their ceremony special and personal.
First off, congrats! What is your most memorable moment from the wedding?
Kolton’s grandfather married us so the ceremony was very personal!
What were the colors of your wedding?
Navy, aqua, and rose gold.
What do you think worked really well at your wedding that you would recommend every couple to do?
We had a welcome reception the day before which gave us extra time with our guests.
Would you have done anything differently—splurge on a pricier dress, nix the favors, go for that extra passed appetizer?
I would have either gotten a different photo booth or moved it into the dessert room because it took away from the dance floor.
What tips do you have for other Joy couples still in the midst of wedding planning?
Put as much of the schedule and information on your Joy website as possible! It was so helpful to direct people there and tell then to watch for updates. Otherwise, I was repeating myself to everyone!
What were your favorite features of Joy?
I loved that there was an app that made information easily accessible. I also loved the photo-sharing feature. I hope that my guests come back and look at the photos and remember the fun time they had at the wedding!

The Molly Pitcher Inn was the perfect indoor/outdoor boutique venue! All of my guest were in one place with us so we got to enjoy socializing, the pool and walk around Red Bank, which was very important to us.

Theresa made me a beautiful test bouquet, which was above a beyond, she incorporated all my ideas and requests. Her work was just stunning.
Mike (and his assistant) rocked the house! He had everyone up dancing, even grandma and grandpa. He was one of the major highlights of the party!
