We know many of your wedding plans are changing due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), and during this stressful time we want to make it as easy as possible for you to share wedding updates with your guests.
Joy’s new Change the Dates help you do just that, with free e-cards available in hundreds of beautiful designs and featuring fully customizable text. Whether your date is shifting, or you are moving to a live-streamed ceremony, conveniently keep your guests in the loop with Change the Dates.
Benefits of Online Change the Dates
Amid the uncertainty of COVID-19, there are several benefits of sending online Change the Dates, Save the Dates, and invitations.
Online versions save you a considerable amount of money if your plans change and your printed invitations are no longer relevant for your new wedding date or other details. The flexibility of online Change the Dates and invitations allow you to send multiple versions to guests as your plans change, without breaking the bank. All of Joy’s general messages and e-cards are completely free, so you can send as many updates to guests as you need.
Additionally, online Change the Dates and invitations arrive instantly in your guests’ inboxes. If you need to communicate a change in plans in a timely manner to let guests know before they make plans, book travel, or to ask them to join your live-streamed wedding on your original wedding date, online options allow for quick communication vs. sending snail mail.
How to Send Change the Dates
Easily send Change the Dates through Joy, just as you would send a Save the Date, invitation, or general message. Here’s a quick guide to get you started:
1. Populate your Joy guest list with your guests’ information and email addresses. If you have an existing guest list in a separate spreadsheet, not to worry, you can import it into your Joy guest list.
2. Select everyone in your Joy guest list that you want to send a Change the Date, click Send Invites & Messages and select Change the Date e-card.
3. Customize your Change the Date to your heart’s desire. You can edit every field of Change the Date e-cards, even the header text. So whether you want your card to read ‘Change the Date,’ ‘New Date, Same Wedding,’ ‘Save Our (New) Date,’ or ‘Join Our Virtual Wedding,’ the sky’s the limit. You can also use the e-cards for other purposes, such as wedding invitations, wedding shower invites, save the dates, etc., since each text field is fully customizable.
If you are live streaming your wedding, which you can do directly through your Joy wedding website, you can even include a link to your live stream within the e-card.
Lastly, don’t forget to add your custom message on the back of the card!
4. Send away! As your guests receive your Change the Date, your Joy guest list will track their response.
Within your Joy guest list you’ll be able to see who has received your Change the Date, who has opened it, and who has replied, meaning you know who got the memo and who you need to follow up with!
Change the Date Examples
Change the Dates are available in every website theme, whether you want to send an e-card with the same theme as your wedding website or choose a different theme for the card.
