Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Over Thanksgiving weekend Shea and I took a trip to Vancouver. We were looking to get away from San Francisco for a bit and both had never been. Although engagement was previously mentioned, it was never fully discussed. So, I wasn’t expecting a proposal to happen anytime soon. I planned a nice dinner in a cute area our first night in the city and mentioned that there was a working steam clock close to where we were having dinner that I thought would be interesting to check out. On our walk to the restaurant, Shea routed us so we could check out the steam clock before dinner. We asked a random guy to take a picture of us. He snapped a few and then Shea politely asked the guy to take one more. As we were getting ready to take another picture, I turned to see Shea down on one knee with a ring out. We both blacked out in the moment, so if I didn’t anything, I did nod, “Yes”! Shea barely remembers even asking! Regardless, it was absolutely perfect.
