Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
He made us a picnic and we hiked up to a lookout tower that has a view of the whole lake. On a beautiful Fall afternoon, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever in a place that means so much to the both of us. The tower will be visible in the background as we get married lakeside at sunset this summer.

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
My mother and I took a trip to Paris to go dress shopping in the boutiques of some of my favorite designers. I’ve been cutting pictures out of bridal magazines and watching countless reruns of “Say Yes to the Dress” since I was a little girl, so she knew how much I was looking forward to the day when I would find a dress of my own! She went above and beyond to make it such a memorable experience for me.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
I’m so fortunate to have a great group of girlfriends who are always willing to lend a helping hand or offer advice when I can’t seem to make up my mind on the perfect Save the Date photo. A girls night in with a bottle of wine is a great way to de-stress and put the fun back in planning!

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
Joy has made it so easy to keep track of which of my guests are coming to each event with the handy label system! Being able to search by event, table, or whether they are friends or family is fantastic.
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Take advantage of Joy’s option to add an FAQ page! This gave me the opportunity to answer any further questions the guests might have. Have a dress code or a specific place you would like people to park? Mention it here!

We know that our wedding day will be very emotional. Excitement, gratitude, and pure joy will be present everywhere and we want to treasure those feelings and strive to exude them towards each other every day onward, for the rest of our lives.
