Joy Proposal Story: Fran & Tach

Joy Proposal Story: Fran & Tach

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

We’re both teachers so he waited until our half term holidays. We drove to my home (about five very nervous hours in the car for him with a blissfully unaware me). As soon as we arrived home, my dad came out and Tach proposed outside my parent’s house. I love being home so it was super special! My dad filmed it and the funniest part of watching the video back is watching Tach’s terrified expression when the ring isn’t in the pocket he checks first! I didn’t catch it at the time, I was slightly preoccupied!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

Definitely buying my wedding dress! It was so much more fun than I was expecting and I’m so excited to see my dress again! T is shopping for suits and loves winding me up by sending me photos of the ones he ‘loves’ that he knows I’ll never say yes to!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

You know, it’s been chill so far! We are super blessed that everything has been pretty easy going but we stay sane by never, ever wedding planning or talking wedding details without having spent quality time together first!

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

It’s fun to input all our wedding day details into Joy, it makes it all so real!

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

Have fun with it and take full advantage of being able to add your own questions and details to the already pre-loaded ones. It’ll really tailor the website to you and your partner and help those using the website to celebrate you more personally!

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

Our joy comes from Jesus first and foremost. Getting married in front of God in my home church, only amplifies how our wedding day will be a union with the one who is the source of joy. I truly believe that joy lasts even in the toughest of moments, you can be joyful even when you’re not happy. We always make time to invest in the things that top our joy!
