We were in Arizona for spring training. He took me to lunch on a private patio on the side of Camelback mountain and got down on one knee! He was so nervous he forgot the entire speech he had planned. Either way, I still would have said yes!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Trying to outdo each other with the most ridiculous and funny requests for the wedding!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We laugh as much as we can. Why do it if you’re not having fun?

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
Memories are more important than things. I want to be able to look back, knowing how much fun we had and the joy we felt being surrounded by all of our friends and family. Every time we think back to our wedding day we will be able to smile and feel those feelings again, even if only for a minute. That’s what our wedding day means to us. It’s not just a day, it is a feeling.
