Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
We were on a motorcycle poker run together with my son. Matt had previously set up a code word with him, “hair”. Then Matt said, “Look at our son’s crazy hair!” and walked away. My son said, “Mama, will you marry Matt?” I replied by saying that was the plan and he then pointed behind me. I turned around and Matt was on one knee!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Dress shopping! Also, the look on everyone’s faces when I said I planned to wear my leather jacket and riding boots during the ceremony. Plus, I honestly just like thinking about being married!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We are doing what we want and keeping it small. Our wedding will only have roughly 70 guests and we have no wedding party. We will have all of the things we love in our day and no one has any say but us!
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
