We have been together for 9 years!

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
On December 3, 2016, at his house! He tricked me into thinking that we were meeting his parents to ask for their blessing if we can get married. But, when I entered the house, his mom led me to their Christmas tree and I found an ornament in the middle that said, “Yuri, Will Your Marry Me?” Of course, when I turned around he was on his knee! After I said yes, my whole family and all of our closest friends came out of the bedrooms hiding and surprised me. I cried non-stop! It was a feeling I can’t describe. I’ve been waiting so long to be able to say yes to my best friend! It was the best day of my life and I cannot wait to say “I Do!”

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Being able to do it with my fiance. We are a great team and are very supportive of each other. We are also lucky that we are on the same page with just about everything!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We keep each other sane! We encourage each other, support each other and help each other! It shouldn’t be a time to be so stressed and worried. It should be a time to try to enjoy and have fun! Nothing is perfect, so just enjoy what you can do!

Don’t rush when putting all your information into the website. Everything is already there and it’s easy to use, so take your time!
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
Spending the rest of our lives with each other is definitely the definition of joy! Although marriage is hard, the fact that we have each other to go through every trial with, is also joy. We can only grow closer and stronger from here.
