Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
He proposed on a recent trip to Peru. We hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. At the end of the four-day hike, right when we reached the Sun Gate at the top of Machu Picchu, he got down on one knee to propose. I was beyond surprised that he was able to carry the ring safely and keep it a secret for the duration of our trip abroad and while hiking too! It was totally surreal.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Getting to know each other’s families better!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
TBD. I’m currently trying different tactics!
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
I like how interactive the website is. Also, I really like the app feature!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
I am still discovering what all Joy can do. I think it works best if the attendees interact with the app and complete their information.

Weddings have become so hyped up. People want their wedding to look picture perfect and be everything to everyone. That is not what a wedding is about. Once the dust has settled you want to look back on the Joy of your wedding day, and look forward to the Joy you will continue to feel knowing that you are with the one you love forever.
