Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
I came home late from work and walked into the bedroom seeing that Matt had set out about 40 candles. I turned around and freaked out because I wasn’t expecting it and was caught off guard! When I turned back around, Matt was on one knee with a ring. Of course, I said, “Yes!” and the rest is history.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Coming up with ideas for food and decor. Our wedding is DIY and we are so excited about making everything ourselves and in our own style!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We have a puppy that keeps us from ripping our hair out. Our families are also very supportive and helpful.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
Joy is so simple and easy, but not cheesy. Just like us!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Enjoy planning and making your wedding dreams come true, together! That has been the very best part of planning our wedding. We both put our input into making our website and planning the big day. Take time for the two of you that doesn’t involve planning. That way, your whole engagement doesn’t become all about the wedding but makes it about your love for each other, the rest will fall into place.

Our wedding day will be our happiest and most joyful day that lasts forever in our hearts and memories! We may not remember the entire wedding day 50 years from now, but we will remember the feeling of joy we had for the rest of your life.
