Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
With the assistance of our friends at the Dorchester Collections, Hotel Bel Air in Bel Air, CA, Albert proposed. The mood was set with chocolate covered strawberries, rose petals, and champagne. Albert sealed the deal with me thinking that we were going over to the hotel for brunch. At the brunch table a staffer informed us that there would be a tour of the new hotel rooms if we were interested. We agreed that this would be brilliant as we had not seen the new rooms.
His words were kind and our lives have been woven together for so long.
As we walked along the forest like walled paper of the Bel Air Hotel we arrived at a suite that was somewhat decorated and in the background music from Luther Vandross, “If This World Were Mine,” was playing aloud. My instructions were to open a box surrounded by roses in a heart shape. There I was looking down at a box with my name on it, “Cindy,” as I opened the box I found that there was actually nothing inside, when I turned around Albert was on one knee, my mother was crying tears of joy and our friend was saying “Awww” to the proposal. His words were kind and our lives have been woven together for so long. The only thing I could say according to Albert was “Si” or “No.” I said “Si!” and have never been happier.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
