Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
It was the morning after Courtney returned home from a trip to Chicago. After such a cold trip, it felt so nice to be cuddled up with Daniel under the covers, warm and thankful. She told him that she had brought him back some things and grabbed the gifts from her tote bag. After looking through everything and hearing where each item was from he said, “I actually got you something while you were gone, too.” Excited, she closed her eyes. He told her to open her eyes as he jumped back, revealed the ring, and popped the question! It was such a happy and unexpected moment. They both cried tears of joy for finally taking this next step in their relationship.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
My favorite thing has been looking for venue locations together. I also really enjoyed searching for my dress!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
I try to remember to keep things simple. I have to keep reminding myself (and my mother) that our wedding doesn’t have to be traditional! We decided to skip some of the most stressful details such as seating arrangements, printing invitations, meal selections, and RSVP cards. Instead, we printed our save the dates and followed that up with our wedding website!
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
It is so easy to customize and mobile friendly! I love having the capability to fill out the Q&A, travel and lodging, registry, and our wedding party sections. The tidbits and love story sections also add a touch of romance while helping guests understand the commitment we have for one another. I guess I just love everything the site has to offer!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
I highly recommend that couples add engagement photos to each section of the website. It really looks complete, perfect, and personalized! It’s also a good idea to search through the design templates and themes Joy provides!
