Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
One year after we first met, we were on top of the Empire State Building. I had just moved to the United States and it was my first time visiting New York City. We started the day on the Top of the Rock, then we visited the Public Library. We had dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant before we hit a Broadway show to watch “The Book of Mormon”. At the end of the day, John took me to the Empire State Building, convinced me to get on the 102nd floor and while I was overlooking the amazing city he got on one knee and popped the question. He had even picked a ring with a sapphire which is my favorite gemstone. I was so happy and shaky and I started crying so much! It was the only way I could handle all of the happiness and emotion.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Picking the venue!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
I focus on the happiness I am going to feel on that day and how everyone we love is going to be there to celebrate with us.

Being able to share one of the most important and happiest days of our lives with the people we love is a unique experience you only get to have on occasions like a wedding. Both sides of our families come together as one, it’s a very special union. They say happiness is only real when shared, and sharing that much happiness with everyone is a feeling that will never go away.
