How did the two of you meet?
We first met in college when we were a part of the same division in a committee. While working, Rama asked Firda to help him with a mechanical contest. Firda was annoyed because that wasn’t part of her job! She decided to help anyway as Rama was the senior in the division. Firda and Rama didn’t see each other again for another three years when Rama asked Firda to help him prepare for his sister’s wedding. During this time, they got to know each other better and got closer when Rama began to talk about the future. Rama bravely took a leap and made a sacred promise and delivered the noble intention to Firda’s father, on the birthday of her mother.
Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Rama planned dinner at Firda’s favorite restaurant where they chatted for hours. To her surprise, Rama got down on his knee and popped the question, ‘Will you marry me?’.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Finding all of the vendors together as a couple. It was a great bonding time!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
I always talk to Rama, he is really a good listener! His opinions and advice really calm me down. Also, we read books about wedding preparation and fill out couple quizzes together. It also helped us get to know each other’s desires much better and deeper.
