How did the two of you meet?
The first time we saw each other, we were on opposite sides of a pool volleyball match at a friend’s birthday party. I remember glancing over at her and thinking, wow, she’s gorgeous! Afterward, I went over to talk to her but she didn’t make eye-contact with me and her responses were brief and distant. Unfortunately, I mistook this bashfulness as indifference. Later that afternoon, the party came to a close and we went our separate ways. I thought about her occasionally, but figured it was a missed connection. A couple months later, I stumbled upon a friend of a friend’s username on SnapChat that I thought might be her. With the hopes that she’d remember me, I sent her a quick message. The conversation continued throughout the day and culminated with our first date at the local, go-to romantic restaurant, Raising Canes. We both felt something special was beginning during that first date, as the conversations flowed effortlessly and the chemistry was immediately apparent. I never felt so lucky! -Joseph
Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
He asked me to marry him at Jackson Square in New Orleans the day before we set sail on a Christmas Cruise. We were walking around the city looking for macaroons when he told me that he ordered a carriage ride! We went around town and learned all about the amazing city and culture until we arrived at Jackson Square. He said he wanted to take a picture in the Square and while walking over there, I saw a beautiful bouquet in the middle of Jackson Square. When we got closer, I saw my name written on it! Seph began proposing to me, telling me sweet sentiments until he knelt down on one knee and showed me a beautiful gold ring! Everyone in the Square began clapping and cheering as I said, “Yes!” I noticed my family was there the whole time to see the engagement and even take some pictures to capture the moment! It was a perfect day and we even ended up getting those macaroons we were originally searching for! -Hali
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
I savored the experience I had making my own save the dates. I got to spend time with my loved ones who helped, which was fun! It also got me so excited about our wedding cruise. I really enjoyed the personal touch of giving my loved ones the save the dates that I made myself!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
My loved ones always can tell when I’m feeling overwhelmed. They are really supportive and helpful during my best and worst moments!
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
I enjoy all of the features that Joy offers! I also like how all questions are responded to in both a helpful and timely manner.
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
I would say that the couples should make everything perfect (i.e. photos, domain name, details, color scheme, etc.) before sharing it with their loved ones! Doing too many edits along the way will complicate things for your invited guests.

Your wedding is the representation of your love for one another, and that is timeless! Wedding photos are an enduring keepsake that allows us to reminisce and can always serve as a great conversation starter. With our wedding being one of the most joyful times in our lives, it is definitely something we will always remember!
