Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
After dating 16 months, Max surprised me by asking me to marry him. The night started with dinner at Catherine and Mary’s, an Italian restaurant I was eager to visit. After dinner, we walked to the Orpheum to watch The Sound of Music. The night was already perfect but when I walked into my apartment I saw a beautiful display of candles and rose petals. Max got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. Completely speechless and full of excitement I said, “Yes!” Following the intimate proposal, Max arranged a surprise engagement party where we celebrated with friends.

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Planning the honeymoon!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We remind each other not to take things so seriously and make each other laugh when we get stressed. We continue to do things we enjoy with friends and family and try not to isolate ourselves.
