Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Aaron popped the question at the conclusion of a four-hour hike! The backdrop was McKittrick Canyon in The Guadalupe Mountains. His family accompanied us on the hike and were there to document the big moment! I was completely shocked and nervous and kept asking Aaron if he was serious!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Getting to be creative and call the shots! I worked as an event designer for an event venue and helped design a lot of weddings! It is nice to be able to call the shots and make the decisions I want for our wedding. Also, getting to share some of the responsibility with Aaron has brought us even closer and that has been great to experience as a couple!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Staying true to myself and what Aaron and I want for the wedding. A lot of family tries to impose their ideas but remembering that this is our day has really helped us both stay sane. Also, knowing that there is always a solution to a problem helps!
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
I love a lot of things about Joy! I love how convenient it is but also how put together it looks with minimal effort. I know HTML and CSS, so a website that looks good with very few modifications to the code is definitely a plus! I also love the app feature! It makes us look way cooler than we actually are!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Definitely take the time to make every page and feature reflect your story. The more information you provide, the more Joy works for you! I love the RSVP feature and how easy it is to use! Make your life easier by just importing an excel spreadsheet with each name!
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
Joy is choosing to see the positive in every day!
