Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
His plan went completely awry! He had everything planned to the T, then my parents accidentally threw things off. It was supposed to be a private proposal but he had to ad-lib and rework his plan last minute, proposing in front of a huge group of people. I remember him saying, “Things don’t always go as planned for us (which is very true) but we always get through it together. I can’t imagine getting through all of these obstacles without you and I want to continue to do this with you for the rest of our lives.”
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Chatting with John and the funky, fun decor. We are picking out old-school nautical themed items. The search for a 1920s scuba helmet is a blast!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Calling my girlfriends and sharing ridiculous stories! It’s fun listening to what they went through and sharing what is going on with me.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
John loves uploading hilarious photos of us to the website. I love all the prompts, I feel like I’m not missing anything!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
