Joy Proposal Story: Leslie & Jonas

by Kelsey Vickers

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

The proposal took place at the end of the Delmarva Dirt Dash, one year after we got together because of the mud run! He made sure my parents were there, along with his father and our friends! I was so surprised! I couldn’t have imagined a more amazing proposal from the man of my dreams! Since that day, he has continued to impress me day in and day out. I am so in love and our adventure has only just begun!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

Discovering Joy and working together on it with my Fiance, there are so many options! Also, talking about all of the ideas with my fiance, and finding the dress with my mother! My maid of honor has been an inspiration, helping me day and night with so many details I may have not have thought of on my own!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

What stress? It’s all about love and the two of us and sharing all of this with family and friends, who are utterly delighted we found each other! We have the best support!

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

Joy is not just a feeling, it’s a holistic demonstration of who you are and who you can and want to be. It’s the reason for life and the reason for living. Joy is always attainable and means the most to those who realize and acknowledge it. Joy is finding the one and thanking the universe for it!
